Meet Dr. Tran

Dr. Tran considers himself a native Oregonian, coming from Vietnam when he was just 4 years old. After graduating from Sunset High School, he moved to Corvallis Oregon to attend Oregon State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology. He continued his studies at OHSU School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). Dr. Tran practiced general dentistry for many years until he decided to further his education, specializing in Periodontics. He continued advancing his skills through intensive surgical, periodontal, and implant training with top professionals in the field.

Dr. Tran opened Beaverton Periodontics in 2013.

Dr. Tran enjoys attending and speaking at study groups around the Portland area. His desire to give meaningful information and care extends not only to those who practice dentistry, but also to those who seek his service. Dr. Tran has a genuine love for his work and is committed to providing quality care while making each patient feels part of the family at Beaverton Periodontics.

Dr. Tran and his wife Melodee have three children, two girls and a boy. Their eldest daughter is currently pursuing a career in nursing, their middle daughter is working at earning her undergrad degree, majoring in business and their youngest son is finishing high school with plans to follow in his father’s footsteps. The entire family shares a love for road trips that often lead to visiting friends and family in Canada and to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland!

Meet The Team

Tamie

Director of Operations

Tamie

Tamie serves as the Director of Operations and brings many years of dental administrative and management experience to her role. She has been with the practice for 13 years and plays a vital role in supporting the teams across all four offices. Tamie is passionate about building strong, collaborative teams and works closely with each location to ensure efficient operations and an exceptional patient experience. Outside of work, Tamie enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and four grandchildren. She loves the outdoors and especially enjoys camping, which allows her to relax and recharge. Whether at work or at home, Tamie values connection, teamwork, and creating positive experiences for those around her.

Shae

Treament Coordinator

Shae

Shae has been a welcoming presence at Beaverton Periodontics for over two years, often one of the first friendly faces patients see. With extensive knowledge of patient care and dental insurance, Shae ensures every visit runs smoothly and stress-free. Outside the office, Shae is a devoted parent to three amazing kids and a proud cat mom to her kitties Machu and Picchu. A passionate amateur mycologist, Shae spends countless hours exploring forests, foraging, and identifying edible and medicinal plants. When not immersed in the wonders of fungi, Shae enjoys kickboxing and embracing new challenges that keep life exciting.

Vy Phan

Patient Care Coordinator

Vy Phan

Vy Phan is the newest member of our team, bringing many years of experience in the dental field. She recently moved to the Pacific Northwest from Texas and loves everything the region has to offer, especially spending time outdoors. Vy is married to a dentist and shares her home with two special birds and a dog. She’s excited to join our practice and looks forward to caring for our patients and working with our wonderful team.

Sehoya

Hygienist

Sehoya

Sehoya has been with our practice for two years as a Register Dental Hygienist. She brings 13 years of experience in the dental field and has a genuine passion for periodontal care and continued learning. Sehoya enjoys getting to know her patients and takes pride in providing thorough, compassionate care while educating patients about their oral health. Outside the office, Sehoya loves spending time with friends and family and enjoys traveling abroad. Her dedication to both her patients and professional growth makes her a valued member of our team.

Kenzie

Lead Dental Assistant:

Kenzie,

has been with the practice for five years and is our Lead Dental Assistant. She plays a key role in leading and supporting the clinical team and takes great pride in working closely with her teammates to ensure high-quality patient care. One of her favorite aspects of her role is seeing the successful outcomes of surgeries and being part of each patient’s treatment journey. Outside the office, Kenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, new baby, friends and family. She loves camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her dogs. Her dedication to her team and patients makes her an invaluable part of our practice.

Laynie

Dental Assistant

Laynie

Laynie has been with the practice for two years as a Dental Assistant. She is known for her bubbly personality, and her role has been an integral part of our team, helping to support both patients and the clinical staff each day. Laynie has a natural ability to make patients feel comfortable and welcomed during their visits. Outside of the office, Laynie enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. She takes pride in contributing to a positive, supportive environment for both patients and her teammates.

Jenna

Dental Assistant

Jenna

Jenna has been with our practice for over a year as a Dental Assistant. We are so grateful for her willingness to work at both our Beaverton and Camas locations. She enjoys the camaraderie she shares with the providers and team and values building strong relationships with patients to help them feel comfortable and supported throughout their care. She takes pride in providing high-level, compassionate specialty care alongside our providers. Outside of the office, Jenna enjoys hiking, reading, and spending quality time with her two daughters. Her positive attitude and dedication to both patients and teammates make her a valued member of our practice.

Kasi

Dental Assistant

Kasi

Kasi joined our team six months ago as a Dental Assistant, bringing ten years of general dentistry experience to our team. Known for her energy, positivity, and always-smiling attitude, she’s eager to take on any new task and has a passion for learning all the latest aspects of periodontal surgery. Kasi is fitting in nicely with our fast-paced that are challenging but rewarding. She truly loves working alongside her talented new team and enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients. Outside of work, Kasi treasures time with her husband and son.

McKenna

Marketing Coordinator

McKenna

McKenna is our Marketing Coordinator and a key connection between our offices and the dental community we serve. A graduate of Oregon State University, she brings a strong foundation in communication, relationship-building, and professionalism to her role. McKenna works closely with referring providers and their teams to foster meaningful partnerships, ensure clear communication, and support a seamless patient experience. Known for her friendly demeanor, positive energy, and collaborative approach, she takes great pride in representing our practice and the exceptional care provided by our clinical teams across all locations.
